Ecclesiastes
let’s say you’ve had wine
at the open window
darkness and the air
their certain assertion
you become aware
of frog song on every hand
the pond you know
and those you don’t, the ditches
the chorus seems to celebrate
that night is day
that sex and insect
delectation are sufficient
a fool amphibian argument
possibly persuasive
